NOTES:

• We have also agreed to pay for a new, much safer, half-shell backstop - apx $6,000. In return, the city will put in all the timbers, the 4 foot toddler fencing, and sell us the fibar at cost. Because we offer this money up quickly, they will return more to us then if we bought the materials from the contractor. Some examples of shells are viewable at http://www.pwathletic.com/baseball.ese
• They will also be putting in handicap access.
• The city has asked us, as they ask all Newton Parks, to set aside a $1,000 to help with playground maintenance in the future.
• It was suggested at the 12/3 meeting that some new trees be planted along the roadside. We are looking into this.

Dear Chris:

Thanks for meeting with me last week to discuss your playground project. I have taken your comments and can offer you the following proposal. I have made the following changes to the plan:

1.     Eliminated the SeeSaw

2.     Moved entire play area to the tree line

3.     Angled the corners to lessen the safety surface

4.     Moved play area 20' toward the road.

These changes did not impact the overall cost of the Playground, with the exception of the elimination of the SeeSaw. Also, I did not price any of the TuffTimbers or safety surface, as I understand that this is going to be provided by the City. The following pricing is assuming the City purchases these structures under the FAC20 Statewide Contract. This contract allows cities, towns and state agencies to purchase equipment direct, without having to go to bid. As an incentive to buy from this contract, we offer FREE FREIGHT. This contract is for recycled materials and the PIayBooster System. The following is the itemized list with no tax or freight, for your consideration.
